ROTAMAT® Wash Drum RoSF 9 / RoFAS

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical details on the ROTAMAT® Wash Drum RoSF 9 and RoFAS, designed for efficient separation of coarse materials from wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), sewer systems, and industrial applications.
Design and Function:
  • RoSF 9: Utilizes a wash drum to separate grit and coarse materials (>10 mm) from wastewater. The process involves pre-washing and homogenizing raw materials, with dewatering and discharge of retained particles. The system reduces residue volume and allows further treatment of mineral materials.
  • RoFAS: Functions as a sludge acceptance plant with a rotating screening drum for extreme applications. It ensures reliable, clog-free transport of solids and includes washing and dewatering through a HUBER WAP Screenings Wash press.
Benefits:
  • High throughput and hydraulic capacity, even with problematic materials like grease and stones.
  • Defined separation size with two-dimensional screening, ranging from 3 to 100 mm.
  • Versatile feeding options and a completely encased unit for protection against coarse materials.
  • Low maintenance and energy demand, with a compact, space-saving design.
  • Constructed entirely of stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
Installation Examples: The ROTAMAT® Wash Drum is used for washing out and separating coarse materials >10 mm, with a capacity of removing 50 liters of screenings per rotation.

RoSF 9 – the ROTAMAT® Wash Drum for separation of grit from WWTPs and sewer systems, road refuse and oil grit: While wash water is added to pre-wash and homogenise the raw material within the ROTAMAT® Wash Drum, the perforated plate of the Wash Drum retains all particles > 10 mm, which are dewatered and then discharged into a skip. Since only coarse material > 10 mm is separated, the volume of the resultant residues is vastly reduced with virtually the complete mineral material being further treated in the down-stream COANDA Grit Washer. The resultant coarse material can then be further separated...
