ASK-Weir This is how the ASK-Weir works: The ASK Weir opens and closes controlled by the float. After the impoundment depth is reached, water enters the float chamber. The resulting float buoyancy opens the gate proportional to the incoming flow. This way, the impoundment depth is maintained at a constant level at every possible flow. Therefore, the retention volume is utilized to the fullest.
