Mechanical Properties
The linear shafts are made from C60E steel, classified under WN. 1.1221, and are hot rolled and quenched and tempered according to EN 10083-2: 2006 standards. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength (R) of 650 - 710 N/mm², a yield strength (Rp 0.2) of 310 - 380 N/mm² minimum, an elongation (A%) of 11% minimum, and a Brinell hardness (HB) of 200 - 218.
Chemical Composition
The chemical analysis of the shafts includes carbon (C) content of 0.57 - 0.65%, silicon (Si) up to 0.40%, manganese (Mn) between 0.6 - 0.9%, phosphorus (P) up to 0.030%, sulfur (S) up to 0.035%, chromium (Cr) up to 0.40%, molybdenum (Mo) up to 0.10%, and nickel (Ni) up to 0.40%.
Dimensional Specifications
The shafts are available in various diameters ranging from 6 mm to 100 mm, with corresponding weights from 0.23 Kg/m to 61.62 Kg/m. The length of the shafts varies between 6000 mm and 6500 mm, depending on the diameter. Surface hardness is maintained between 62 and 64 HRC, with a hardening depth of 0.6 to 4.5 mm. The straightness is maintained at 0.2 to 0.3 mm/m, roundness at 2 to 5 microns, and conicity at 2 to 5 microns. The surface finish is between 0.20 and 0.25 microns RA.
Manufacturing Program
The shafts are available as hardened chromed shafts with a chrome thickness of 8/15 microns, tolerance according to ISO h6, and a chrome film hardness of 950/1100 HV.
