DB2016 Disc Brake Caliper - Type T20 Hydraulically Applied

DB2016 Disc Brake Caliper - Type T20 Hydraulically Applied

Product catalog summary
Brake Disc Specifications:
The brake disc has a minimum diameter of 250mm for full pad coverage, with a 21mm distance to the disc edge. The mounting plate requires M12 bolts of grade 8.8, tightened to a torque of 87Nm (64 Pounds-Feet). The space required for pad removal includes two holes of Ø 13mm.
Disc Diameter and Braking Torque:
Disc diameters range from 300mm to 915mm, with corresponding braking torque values. The braking torque is calculated as the product of braking force and effective disc radius, where the effective disc radius is the actual disc radius minus 0.032m.
Performance Data:
The braking force is 20kN at 110 bar oil pressure, with a maximum permissible pressure of 120 bar. The performance ratings are based on fully bedded-in pads.
General Description of T20 Disc Brake Caliper:
The T20 caliper is used with 12.7mm thick Twiflex discs and can be adapted for thicker discs using a spacer plate. The caliper halves are secured with M12 grade 12.9 cap screws tightened to 130 Nm (97 lbf-ft). The caliper can be modified for discs under 12.7mm, with a minimum thickness of 8mm.
Caliper Packages and Spare Parts:
Caliper packages include basic caliper and pipe fittings kits, with part numbers for European and North American standards. Spare parts include friction pad assembly and piston/seal kits. The caliper must be used with mineral oil-based hydraulic fluid, with seals available for other fluid types.
Installation and Contact Information:
The inlet port is 1/8 B.S.P., with a total pad area of 70 cm². Recommended hydraulic fluids include Shell Tellus 37 and Castrol Hyspin AWS 32. For service and spares, contact Twiflex Limited.

DB2016 Disc Brake Caliper - Type T20 Hydraulically Applied-2

General Description The standard T20 disc brake caliper is used with 12.7mm thick standard Twiflex discs from 300mm and is cantilever mounted from a side plate. The split design of the T20 caliper also allows its use on thicker discs, in which case a spacer plate is sandwiched between the two caliper halves. The spacer plate may also serve as the mounting plate when the caliper is used with discs of 20mm thickness and upwards. Optionally, the caliper can be supplied in a modified form to suit discs under 12.7mm in thickness. The minimum recommended thickness in this case would be 8mm. It is important...
