Applications
The systems are suitable for testing all powertrain components, including gears, transmissions, axles, transfer cases, combustion engines, electric motors, and tape roller bearings. Testing is conducted at end-of-line test benches and in completed vehicles using DISCOM Mobile.

Key Components

• TAS28 Front End: Modular design with up to 6 input modules, 100 kHz sampling rates, and 10 MHz pulse rate.
• BKS03 and BKS10 Sensors: Designed for high precision and minimal resonance, with frequency responses up to 15 kHz.
• TAD28 A/D Converter: Features two channels, 100 kHz sampling rate, and 24-bit resolution.
• TAC15 Torsional Accelerometer: Designed for rotating structures with a bandwidth of 10 Hz – 20 kHz.

Software Suite
The DISCOM software suite includes measurement and analysis tools, a parameter database, measurement archive, results database, and analysis programs for comprehensive quality analysis.

Parameter Database
Stores kinematic data and measurement recipes, allowing easy control of parameters for transmission models and test stands.

TasAlyser
Controls the TAS28 front end, processes signals, and evaluates data against limit values. Stores test results in archives and databases.

Marvis Data Analysis
Displays data from measurement archives, allowing for user-configurable pages and remote access via WebPal.

WebPal Intranet Analysis
A browser-based tool for production analysis, providing test reports, reject analysis, and single-value statistics.

Company Background
DISCOM has been developing acoustical quality analysis systems for over 20 years. Acquired by Brüel & Kjær in 2016, the acquisition expanded Brüel & Kjær's production quality testing capabilities.
