Operation
The actuator uses a screw spindle driven by a d.c. motor, switching off electronically when the closing force is achieved. It is maintenance-free and comes with a ready-to-wire connecting cable.

Mounting Instructions
The actuator should be mounted beside or above the valve, ensuring it is in the 'retracted' position before fixing. Manual mounting is required without tools to avoid damage.

Wiring
Wiring must comply with specified diagrams. Newer models are protected against miswiring, while older models are not. Maximum cable length is 40 m, reduced to 15 m if a suppression capacitor is used.

Action
Closing the contact at the brown cable extends the actuator, while opening it retracts the actuator. In case of power failure, the actuator may retract depending on the capacitor's charge, which is not a guaranteed safety function.

ACTION Closing the contact at the brown cable will drive the actuator to the "extended" position. Upon opening the contact, the actuator will drive back to the "retracted" position. CAUTION In case of power failure, the actuator will not necessarily stay at its current position. Rather, the actuator stem will retract to an extent depending upon the remaining charge in the actuator's capacitor.
