Product catalog summary
XEROSORP+ Flue Gas Cleaning Overview
The XEROSORP+ process integrates dry scrubbing with a low-temperature SCR-DeNOx system, offering a competitive, complete, and compact solution for flue gas cleaning. It effectively removes acidic gaseous and organic contaminants, along with heavy metal compounds, through a two-step process involving dry scrubbing and a multi-chamber catalyst system.
Dry Scrubbing Process
This process utilizes sodium bicarbonate to absorb acidic gaseous contaminants at approximately 200°C, allowing for maximum energy recovery. Heavy metals and organic contaminants like dioxins and furans are adsorbed onto activated carbon or lignite coke. The system includes a reactor where flue gas contacts absorbents, and a fabric filter collects entrained solids. A portion of these solids is recirculated to optimize absorbent use.
Operating Procedures
The process is regulated by two control loops: one for recirculated solids flow based on pressure drop, and another for reactant flow rate based on acidic gas concentration measurements. These loops can be adjusted manually if needed.
SCR DeNOx System
Ammonia is injected into the flue gas downstream of the fabric filter. The SCR DeNOx system operates below 200°C, with periodic offline catalyst regeneration, ensuring continuous operation at nominal load.
Energy Efficiency and Compact Design
The system enhances energy efficiency through low pressure drop, minimal catalyst regeneration, and tail-end heat recovery. Its compact design significantly reduces building volume compared to traditional systems.
Key Advantages
  • Compact design
  • Low emissions
  • Efficient Bicar consumption
  • High residue buffer capacity
  • Enhanced energy efficiency

XEROSORP+ Flue gas cleaning XEROSORP+: Competitive, complete, compact The Xerosorp+ process combines the advantages of the dry scrubbing process and low temperature SCR-DeNOx system. Removal of acidic gaseous and organic contaminants together with heavy metal compounds is ensured by a dry scrubbing step in the first part of the unit. The multi chamber catalyst in the second part insures that NOx contaminants are removed effectively through the injection of ammonia between the fabric filter and the catalyst. || Dry scrubbing for efficiency and low residue levels The dry scrubbing flue gas cleaning...

| SCR DeNOx at low temperature with periodical catalyst regeneration Downstream the Fabric filter ammonia is injected into the flue gas in the short connecting duct. The SCR DeNOx system operates at temperatures below 200°C and consists of several chambers. Periodically the SCR catalyst is reactivated chamber by chamber in an offline mode while the whole FGC remains on full operation at nominal load. | Improved energy efficiency with tail end heat recovery The flue gas temperature downstream the SCR DeNOx is lowered just above due point, thus recovering maximum energy in the flue gas cleaning...
