Introduction
The SLITstream dust removal system is designed for shear cut knife units to efficiently remove cutting dust at the knife's contact point with the substrate. It features a specially designed dust extraction hood that uses high-velocity air flow to remove even the smallest particles. The system is automatically engaged when the knife unit is energized and encloses the knife when not in use. It can be installed on new machines or retrofitted to existing ones.

System Description
The SLITstream system is modular and can be applied to various knife holder types, ensuring high dust removal efficiency with minimal investment. It is suitable for applications in printing, packaging, and textile production. The system includes iONcontrol for monitoring and communication, allowing complete control over functions and parameters.

Technology
The system uses a vacuum hood to efficiently remove dust at the cutting point, with air flow parameters significantly influencing efficiency. SLITstream technology generates an air flow of over 30 m/sec parallel to the knife. AUTO DC Technology® is used to neutralize electrostatic charges on the substrate, facilitating easier particle removal.
