In manufacturing of plastic, non-woven, film, printing, packaging and Hi-Tech devices, static charge is an outstanding issue and it is unavoidable. Static charge brings some impacts to products and processes, like attracting particles / dust, contamination of coating and lamination, downtime of equipment and breakdown of electronic components etc. Real-time, accurate and data-retrievable static charge monitoring is a critical point of in production. That is also required by Industry 4.0. Hildebrand Technology's iONsense is a microprocessor-controlled and flexibly at any location installed static charge monitoring system. Static charge on product surface can be real-time measured and data are visualized and recorded by iONcontrol. Allowable range of charge can be pre-set and marked on screen. Once the measured charge exceeds the pre-set limit, an alarm will be activated, and the alarm signal can be also connected to customer's light tower system. The system can connect multiple sensors for measurement at more locations in productions due to the CAN field bus.
