VertX V200-Controller

Product catalog summary
Overview: The VertX™ V200 Input Monitor Interface is a component of HID Global's networked access solutions, designed to monitor and report on alarm circuits. It connects to the V1000 via RS-485 and processes real-time commands, enabling complex input/output linking with the V1000 and V300 Output Control Interface.
Specifications: The V200 supports up to 16 supervised input circuits, each capable of monitoring normal, off-normal, and alarm states. It features on-board flash memory for program updates and connects to the V1000 through a high-speed RS-485 network. The V1000 communicates with the system host via TCP/IP over Ethernet or the Internet, minimizing LAN impact by using one TCP/IP address for every 32 interfaces.
Physical Characteristics: The V200 is housed in a UL94 polycarbonate enclosure, measuring 5.8" W x 4.825" H x 1.275" D and weighing 12.4 oz. It requires a power supply of 50 mA @ 9–18 VDC, with a recommended supervised linear power supply with battery backup.
Environmental Conditions: The device is intended for indoor use or within a customer-supplied NEMA-4 rated enclosure, operating within temperatures of 32° to 122° F and humidity levels of 5% to 95% non-condensing.
Certifications: The V200 is UL® 294 and UL® 1076 recognized, with additional certifications for Canada, the EU, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
Connectivity: The RS-485 communication port supports a cable distance of up to 4000 feet to the host, using specified shielded cables. Input and output circuits support distances up to 500 feet.
Interface Features: The V200 includes quick-disconnect screw terminal connectors, a rotary address switch, and inputs for AC fail, battery fail, and enclosure tamper monitoring. It also features non-latching relay outputs for door strikes and auxiliary devices.
Local Processing: The device supports alarm shunt and strike relay timing, access control decisions based on facility code, and basic input/output linking. It also controls LED/beeper functions during various transactions.
Warranty: The V200 is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 18 months.
Installation: The unit can be mounted on any wall surface using four screws and should be installed indoors in a secure area.
Visual Indicators: The device includes communication LEDs that indicate transmission and reception status, as well as a power LED to confirm sufficient DC voltage.

VertX V200-Controller-1

NETWORKED ACCESS SOLUTIONS VertX™ V200 Input Monitor Interface ALARM INPUT PROCESSING FOR UP TO 16 ZONES • 70200 Reports supervised or unsupervised alarm circuits. Off-normal condition programmable for each input point (NO or NC alarm devices may be used). Receives and processes real-time commands from the V1000. Enables complex input/output linking when used with the V1000 and V300 Output Control Interface. Attractive polycarbonate enclosure protects components from damage. All connections and indicators are fully identified by silk-screened nomenclature on the cover. The HID VertX™ products provide a complete and fully featured hardware/firmware infrastructure for access control software host systems. The V200 input monitor interface connects up to 16 supervised input circuits. Each input point monitors and reports normal, offnormal, and alarm states. The V200 features on-board flash memory, enabling program updates to be downloaded through the network. The V200 connects to the V1000 via a high-speed RS-485 network. The V1000, in turn, communicates with the system host via industry standard TCP/IP protocol, over 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, or the Internet. This architecture minimizes the impact on corporate LANs, by using only one TCP/IP address for every 32 interfaces, and by handling low-level transactions on the RS-485 network.
