ECE104 Regulation
ECE104 is an EU law mandating retro-reflective markings on certain vehicle categories across Europe. Since July 2011, newly registered heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) over 7.5 tonnes and trailers over 3.5 tonnes in the UK must have these markings to enhance visibility up to 1000 meters in low light conditions. The regulation specifies the standards for reflective materials and their placement on vehicles.

Application Options

Side of the Vehicle: Options include complete contour line marking or partial contour marking. Partial contour markings are the minimum requirement, covering at least 80% of the vehicle or trailer length.
Rear of the Vehicle: Complete contour line marking is required if the vehicle's rear is wider than 2100mm, covering at least 80% of the vehicle's width.
