Product catalog summary
Introduction
Herrenknecht Vertical GmbH specializes in designing and manufacturing deep drilling rigs, such as the Terra Invader 350, for geothermal energy exploration. These rigs are capable of drilling wells up to 6,000 meters deep and are equipped with advanced technology for safety, automation, and environmental protection.

Specifications
The Terra Invader 350 features a maximum hook load of 410 metric tons, hoist power of 1,600 kW, and top drive power of 800 kW. It can achieve a maximum tripping speed of 600 meters per hour and is supported by three mud pumps and generators.

Project Data
  • Mauerstetten Project: The prototype B-001 drilled a well to a depth of 4,545 meters, demonstrating high availability and precision with its cylinder hoist system.
  • Dürrnhaar Project: Two wells were drilled to depths of 4,393 and 4,530 meters. The rig's skidding system facilitated cluster drilling.
  • Hanover Project: A single well was drilled to 3,902 meters, providing geothermal heat for the BGR office building.
  • Kirchstockach Project: Two wells were drilled to 4,214 and 4,452 meters, with the second well completed in just 81 days.

Technical Data
The Terra Invader 350's technical capabilities include a maximum drilling depth of 6,000 meters, with customizable hook load and casing options based on project requirements.

Conclusion
The Terra Invader 350 has proven effective in various geothermal projects across Germany, offering high safety standards, operational efficiency, and environmental benefits.
