PURE FLOW: HOW IT WORKS • A self-cleaning filtration system Equips machines requiring medium continuous filtration at 500 or 250 microns using water based coolants Easily implemented, working with existing coolant tanks supplied by OEMs Coarse Chip Removal Just like a standard conveyor, chips and coolant fall into the conveyor. Coolant flows through and around the hinge belt, while large chips collect on the belt and are coveyed to a chip hopper. 2. Fine Chips/Swarf Filtration Fine chips and swarf (which are too small for the hinge belt to collect) migrate with the coolant flow towards the filter box. The filter collects fine chips and swarf from the coolant down to 250 or 500 microns (depending on the filter required), allowing only clean coolant to flow back into the coolant tank and/or machine tool. The fine chips and swarf that collect on the box are cleaned off via stainless steel brushes that rotates with the belt, continuously cleaning the top and bottom of the filter to maintain optimal coolant flow and improve the life of the chip conveyor. Particles flowing with coolant towards the filter box. Brushes rotate with the belt, keeping the filter clean.
