60 Energy consumption in comparison Energy saving ventilation unit for the low energy house – ZEB EC ZEB EC Energy saving unit with power – ideal in houses or in multi storey buildings. Low energy and passive houses are setting new standards with reference to sealing and insulation of buildings. To fulfill the energy saving regulation (EnEV) ventilation units have to be used with highest efficiency in full and controlled operation. The consequence of the EnEV1) is a controlled ventilation with a minimum consumption of energy (at present < 25 W/100 m3/h, in future < 12 W/100 m3/h). The ZEB EC is already today better than the required limit set for the future regulations. The diagram shows clearly the energy saving of the ZEB EC in comparison to the ZEB 380 that is equipped with a conventional AC-motor. There is an annual energy saving of 150 kW/h2) using the ZEB EC.
