Product catalog summary
Correct and Proper Use
Gas and air filters are designed to prevent blockages in downstream devices by filtering out dust and dirt particles. They comply with DVGW code G 260 and are suitable for air, hydrogen, and biogas applications, the latter due to a special coating as per DVGW worksheet G 262.
Operating Data
Filters are available in thread execution series for pressures of 1 bar and 5 bar, and flange execution series for pressures up to 6 bar (DN 250 up to 4 bar). Operating temperatures range from -15°C to +80°C, with coated versions available for -5°C to +50°C.
Construction
The filters have an AlSi-cast housing with DIN EN 10226-1 threads and DIN EN 1092 PN 16 flanged connections. The filter pad is made of polypropylene fleece supported by galvanized steel wire. Coated versions include HART-COAT coating and stainless steel components.
Certifications
Filters comply with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU for sizes over DN25, the Gas Appliances Regulation (EU) 2016/426, and DVGW-G (DIN 3386) for a maximum PS of 5 bar. They are tested for 100% hydrogen, H2ready, in series ..10.. and ..20..
Fitting and General Information
Filters can be installed in horizontal and vertical indoor pipes. Installation, operating, and maintenance instructions from Marchel should be followed. They are designed for low pressure loss, high dust capacity, and a filtration grade of approximately 50 μm.
Technical Specifications
Detailed dimensions and specifications for various filter types and sizes are provided, including pressure loss data for natural gas and air. Instructions for using diagrams to determine nominal distances and flow rates are included.
Specifications and Procedures
A procedure to determine pressure loss using diagrams is outlined. For natural gas, the pressure loss is 15 mbar, and for air, it is 23 mbar. For other gases, pressure loss can be estimated by adjusting for density differences.
Recommendations
Details refer to new filter pads. The procedure for determining pressure loss can be adjusted for different gases by considering density differences.
