Heil Half/Pack With Freightliner EconicSD The most popular commercial front loader for over 50 years, now with a safer, more accessible, low-entry cab. The newly integrated Heil® Half/Pack® body with Freightliner® EconicSD™ chassis is now available in both Commercial and Residential front load packages. This exclusive offering gives customers the proven Half/Pack with Odyssey Controls as a standard feature. This combination delivers a level of performance and smooth operation that no one can duplicate. The new articulating arm design maintains the industry standard 13' 6" maximum stowed arm height, and can operate automatically so the driver can simply carry on as usual without having to learn a new method of dumping. With the Freightliner EconicSD, operators can “kneel” the cab to make ingress and egress easier. The larger European cab design also provides greater visibility and improves operational visibility. The EconicSD also comes standard with the Detroit Assurance® suite of safety systems, including active brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning to reduce the likelihood of accidents. In addition, the EconicSD / Half/Pack commercial front loader offering can be upgraded with the Heil Autonomous Lift Option (H.A.L.O.) to make commercial route collection even simpler and safer. Articulating Arm Design The automatic operation of the new articulating arm design allows the operator to use the same dump motion as our standard Half/Pack arm design. Optional Heil Autonomous Lift Option Semi-autonomous single button operation eliminates multi-control movement, reducing driver input by 82%. Greatly reduces training time & increases new driver productivity. Optional 3rd Eye Mobile Package Mobile package includes factory installed IRIS Collision Warning Radar, and the ability to connect up to eight 3rd Eye® cameras.
