The new articulating arm design maintains the industry standard 13' 6" maximum stowed arm height, and can operate automatically so the driver can simply carry on as usual without having to learn a new method of dumping. With the Freightliner EconicSD, operators can “kneel” the cab to make ingress and egress easier. The larger European cab design also provides greater visibility and improves operational visibility. The EconicSD also comes standard with the Detroit Assurance® suite of safety systems, including active brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning to reduce the likelihood of accidents.
