HECO-TOPIX®-plus T Solar in stainless steel – the ideal solution for mounting solar systems on over-rafter-insulated roofs. The mounting of a solar module on wood constructions on top of insulating materials requires innovative fixtures. Low-strength insulating materials cannot withstand compressive loads, such as the additional weight of solar systems, roof coverings or snow loads. Even if using pressure-proof insulating materials, it is necessary to offset the additional compressive load of the solar system, i.e., to transfer the load trough the counter batten and insulating material to the rafters. In this situation, the HECO-TOPIX®-plus T Solar in stainless steel with its innovative underhead thread is the ideal solution. The thread enables attachment by means of screws secured at defined intervals. The underhead thread of the HECO-TOPIX®-plus T Solar prevents the compressive forces from pressing on the insulating material, instead transmitting them via the screw into the rafters. Additional shear loads can be transmitted using partially threaded screws (angle of screw to roof pitch: 60°). The tried and tested HECO-TOPIX®-plus point also prevents any risk of the counter batten splitting.
