RC X.1

RC X.1

RC X.1

Product catalog summary
Overview
The RC X.1 is a wired remote control available in multiple variants, designed for starting and stopping recordings and activating real-time filters. It connects to computers via USB and works with the Data Acquisition Module of the ArtemiS suite. It can also operate in stand-alone mode with devices like SQuadriga III and SQobold. The RC X.1 allows real-time filter activation through the Advanced Filters Module when connected to a computer running the ArtemiS suite.

Variants and Extensions
There are two main variants of the RC X.1: RC X.1-V1 with a Binder plug for SQuadriga II connection via a multi-function adapter, and RC X.1-V2 with a LEMO plug for direct connection to SQuadriga II. An optional wireless module, RC X.2, enables radio control of all RC X.1 variants, allowing multiple pairs to operate simultaneously without interference.

Functions and Features
The RC X.1 features a large function button for easy operation without needing to view the connected device. It provides visual feedback and supports remote control of measurements and filtering. The wireless module RC X.2 offers a range of up to 10 meters and visual feedback.

Technical Data
The RC X.1 variants connect via USB, Binder, or LEMO interfaces, with power supplied accordingly. They have a response time of less than 100 ms and various cable lengths. The RC X.2 wireless module uses a micro USB for charging, operates on a 3.7 V LiPo battery, and has a wireless range of up to 10 meters. It supports IEEE 802.15.4 communication with unique device IDs.

Applications
The RC X.1 is used for starting and stopping recordings with any frontend supported by HEAD acoustics and activating real-time filters in combination with SQuadriga II.

Recommended Hardware and Software
Recommended hardware includes PCs, notebooks, or tablets with the ArtemiS suite, SQuadriga III, SQuadriga II, SQobold, and the SVA II.0 adapter. Recommended software includes the ArtemiS suite Basic Framework, Data Acquisition Module, and Sound Engineering Module.

RC X.1 can be connected to a computer via USB and activates recordings via the Data Acquisition Module of ArtemiS suite (ASM 04) with any frontend supported by HEAD acoustics. Connected to SQuadriga III and SQobold directly, RC X.1 can be used to start and stop recordings in stand-alone mode. Furthermore, in connection with a computer running ArtemiS suite, the RC X.1 allows real-time filters to be enabled or disabled via the Advanced Filters Module (ASM 19) and the SQuadriga II frontend. The variants of the RC X.1 are applied together with SQuadriga II directly or via the SVA II.0 multi-function adapter. For applications not allowing direct access to the RC X.1, it is also possible to use the wireless module RC X.2. The wireless module allows all versions of the RC X.1 to be radio-controlled. A pairing can be established between RC X.2 and RC X.1 allowing several pairs to be used simultaneously without affecting each other.
