Installation Guidelines

Avoid direct installation of metal pipes into plastic connections; use at least 10 pipe diameters of plastic piping upstream and downstream.

Socket Connection Installation
Follow ASTM specifications for solvent cementing. Ensure surfaces are clean and free of contaminants. Apply primer and cement as instructed, and allow adequate curing time based on temperature and pipe size.

Threaded and Flanged Connection Installation
Use Teflon tape for threaded connections and tighten with a strap wrench. For flanged connections, tighten bolts in an alternating sequence to compress the gasket without excessive stress.

Operation and Basket Cleaning
