Product catalog summary
Introduction
Haskel is a leading company in high-pressure fluid and gas handling equipment, offering a variety of products including pneumatic driven liquid pumps, air amplifiers, and gas boosters. The company is dedicated to advancing high-pressure technology through continuous technological investments.
Product Features
Haskel's products are characterized by safe pneumatic operation, high pressure capabilities up to 100,000 psi, variable cycling speed, and a stall feature for maintaining pressure without power consumption. They are suitable for most liquids and liquefied gases, require no air line lubrication, and are designed to be robust, reliable, and easy to maintain. Products are available in standard or custom configurations with excellent global service support.
Applications
The pumps are used in various applications such as pressure testing, work holding, jacking, valve actuator control, hydraulic cylinder actuation, press safety, roller tensioning, metering, precision lubrication, and liquefied gas transfer.
Operation and Performance
The pumps operate on a differential piston principle, automatically reciprocating to maintain maximum pressure. They are efficient, consuming less air than competitors, and can be enhanced by stacking air pistons.
Technical Specifications
Pumps are categorized by horsepower ratings, with peak performance at 100 psi. They include double and triple air head models, with specific model numbers indicating their configurations.
Materials and Construction
Constructed from materials like stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel-plated steel, with non-metallic components such as PTFE and Viton, depending on the application requirements.
Specifications
The document details various pump models, their nominal ratios, maximum pressures, and displacement per cycle. Models like the M, MS, and MCPV series have ratios from -5 to -188, with pressures up to 25,000 psi.
Performance Metrics
Pumps are evaluated on output pressures and flow rates, with some models reaching up to 50,000 psi and flow rates of 22 gpm. Performance is highlighted using a 100 psi air drive.
Key Features
Features include a variety of models and ratios, different wetted materials, and drive pressures from 3 to 150 psi. Suitable for hydraulic fluids, water, solvents, mild chemicals, and liquefied gases.
Optional Modifications
Optional modifications include air controls, noise reduction kits, and various seal types, enhancing adaptability to different environments.
Guidelines for Continuous Duty Applications
Recommendations for maximizing seal life and performance in continuous duty applications, emphasizing the importance of selecting the correct pump model.
Pump Model Coding
The coding system identifies pump models, indicating the type and working ratio of the drive area to the hydraulic plunger area.
Conclusion
This guide is a valuable resource for selecting and configuring Haskel pumps, providing detailed insights into their capabilities and customization options.

Pressure and Flow on Demand This guide will help you to pre-select the pump ideally suited for your application. If you have specific questions, however, we urge you to provide Haskel with the operational details of your application. We will recommend a model and any corresponding accessories. Output Horsepower Ratings The pumps are categorized on their horsepower ratings (see pages 6-7). These are approximate and peak at 100 psi (7 bar), assuming adequate drive, pressure and volume. Peak horsepower is at about 75% nominal ratio x drive pressure, i.e. 100:1 pump @ 100 psi air drive peaks at 100...

2. Hydraulic Check Valves Anatomy of a Pneumatic Driven Pump 1. Drive Section The piston, complete with “O” ring seal, operates in an epoxy filled, fiberglass wound barrel, the diameter of which is constant throughout a given series of pumps. Drive media forces the piston down on the compression stroke and raises it on the suction stroke (M series have a spring return). The piston is pre-lubricated during assembly and therefore no air line lubricator is necessary. 2. Hydraulic Section/Check Valves The drive piston is linked and connected to the hydraulic plunger/piston in the hydraulic section....
