Surface mounting technology (SMT) makes it easy to install RAIN / UHF transponders on a PCB and to fulfill the corresponding requirements. A RAIN / UHF transponder gives a PCB its own memory for storing and providing data. Dedicated information can be stored at each production step to ensure quality control and traceability of every single PCB. Overall, this makes it easy to trace back PCBs and related products.
