CERAN® Hot Plates Overview
CERAN® hot plates are designed with a unique glass ceramic material known for its high resistance to breakage, temperature changes, and acids. The plates are electrically heated and embedded in a stainless steel frame, ensuring durability and stability. They feature a thermostatic temperature control system ranging from 50°C to 500°C, with a rapid warm-up time of approximately 8 minutes to reach 500°C.
Construction and Features
The hot plates are constructed with a low mass CERAN® plate, mounted on an internally insulated stainless steel housing. The temperature is regulated by an electronic NiCr-Ni sensor housed in an aluminum pressure-cast casing. The design includes four adjustable feet for stability and horizontal alignment. Types 4A, SR, and EB have specific features such as supporting rod holders and flexible metal hose protection for electrical connections.
Product Variants- Series A: Built-in control housing with models ranging from 1500W to 5700W, suitable for various laboratory applications.
- Series SR: Separate control housing with similar power options, offering flexibility in setup.
- Series EB: Designed for bench installation, providing a compact solution for integrated laboratory environments.

Each series offers different power ratings, dimensions, and weights, catering to specific laboratory needs. The conducting wire lengths vary between series, with options for extended lengths available at an additional cost.
