Machine Type and Main Specifications
The KEL-VISTA machine offers two main configurations with distances between centers of 800 mm and 1000 mm, and grinding lengths of 600 mm and 1000 mm. The center height is 175 mm, and it can handle a workpiece weight of up to 100 kg. The machine requires a mains voltage of either 3 x 400V / 50 Hz or 3 x 460V / 60 Hz, with a power consumption of 25 A depending on the equipment used. The space required for installation is either 2400 x 1700 mm or 3000 x 1700 mm.
Longitudinal and Wheelslide Specifications
The Z-axis offers a travel range of 750 mm to 1150 mm with a rapid traverse speed of 12 m/min and a resolution of 0.1 µm. The upper table can swivel up to 9 degrees. The X-axis travel is 320 mm with a rapid traverse speed of 6 m/min and the same resolution. Swivel devices include an optional automatic indexing with a 1° Hirth coupling and manual indexing with a 2.5° Hirth coupling, with a swiveling range of +10 to -210 degrees.
Wheelhead and Grinding Wheel Specifications
The wheelhead is equipped with a water-cooled drive motor of 5 kW, supporting peripheral grinding wheel speeds of 35 m/s or 40 m/s. The left-hand side grinding wheel dimensions are 400 x 63 x 127 mm, with an option for 450 x 80 x 203 mm. The right-hand side offers an optional dimension of 300 x 40 x 127 mm. The RS wheelhead has a right-hand side dimension of 450 x 80 x 203 mm. The internal grinding attachment for the UR model supports spindles up to 120 mm with a rotational speed range of 6 to 21,000 min-1 and a motor output of 2.5 kW.
Workhead and Tailstock Specifications
The workhead features a rotational spindle speed range of 8 to 800 min-1 and a driving torque of 15 Nm. The spindle nose follows the DIN 55026 #5 MT5 / ASA 5 standard, with an optional swiveling range of -10 to +100 degrees. The tailstock has an internal taper of MT4, sleeve retraction of 48 mm, and an optional micro-adjustment of +/- 60 µm.
CNC Control and Measuring Systems
The machine is equipped with a GEFanuc 2li CNC control system. Measuring systems include Movomatic Gap Control, Active and Passive Longitudinal Positioning, and In-process Gauging.
