The tie rod construction system encompasses Stud-Lock and Spring-Lock conduit locks. The Stud-Lock is a solid stud that will protrude through the exterior of the ductwork and allow the gasketed washer and locknut to be attached. This gives a solid and leak tight seal on the exterior of the ductwork. The Spring-Lock shares all of the same features as the Stud-Lock however, the stud is spring-loaded. This allows the user to depress the stud to easily insert through the exterior of the ductwork. Typically the Stud-Lock and Spring-Lock are combined to have a solid stud on one end of the conduit and spring-loaded stud on the opposite end. This gives the user the best combination at the most valuable cost and allows a much easier install without having to scratch or deform the duct to insert the stud.
