After being put into the local mode, HME-802 can be used standalone without a laptop. Using the Local mode is easy. The HME-802 also can be operated via the software running on a laptop. The HME-802 is used for testing electro-mechanical, solid-state and microprocessor-based protection relays. With the built-in DC source, you can directly supply the protection relay.
