Storing stormwater GEOlight®
GEOlight® is a cellular block system designed for creating underground reservoirs to manage stormwater. Manufactured by Hamon Thermal Europe, these blocks are made from fully recycled PVC films and offer significant mechanical strength, allowing the overlying surface to be reused for green areas, roads, and more.
- Composition: Fully recycled PVC
- Standard Dimensions: 2400 x 800 x 500 mm
- Density: 40 Kg/m3 to 55 Kg/m3
- Compressive Strength: 200 Kpa to 400 Kpa
- Suitable for installation under green areas, light traffic structures (e.g., car parks), and heavy traffic structures (e.g., motorways).
The system uses a patented infiltration method where stormwater flows through drains to a manhole. Light rain allows for a 'By Pass' use, preventing unnecessary filling and evacuating initial pollutants. During heavy rain, water fills the GEOlight blocks through diffuser perforations.
- Adjust subgrade and install geotextile and geomembrane if required.
- Install the infiltration network.
- Place GEOlight blocks without handling equipment.
- Cover blocks with upper geotextile and fill with materials, then compact.

Why use the Gj£0 GEOlight® is a cellular block of assembled thermoformed sheets. This ultra light cellular structure (SAUL) is used to create underground reservoirs. Its significant mechanical strength means that the overlying surface can be reused (green areas, roads, etc.). GEOlight® blocks are made from fully recycled PVc films. The products are assembled in our plant in France or directly on site. For an onsite installation, the blocks are simply placed side by side, without any connecting accessories.
