Si photodiodes with preamp S9295 series

Si photodiodes with preamp S9295 series

Product catalog summary
Overview: The S9295 series is a thermoelectrically cooled silicon photodiode with a preamplifier, designed for low-light-level detection. It integrates a large area photodiode, operational amplifier, TE-cooler, and feedback resistor into a compact package, featuring high cooling efficiency and resistance to EMC noise.
Specifications: The photodiode has a large photosensitive area of 10 × 10 mm and operates within a spectral response range of 190 to 1100 nm, with peak sensitivity at 960 nm. It offers high gain with a feedback resistance of 10 GΩ and low noise performance with a noise equivalent power (NEP) of 4-5 fW/Hz1/2.
Applications: The S9295 series is suitable for applications such as NOx detection and low-light-level measurements.
Absolute Maximum Ratings: The supply voltage for the preamp is ±20 V, with an operating temperature range of -30 to +60 °C. The TE-cooler allows a maximum voltage of 5 V and current of 1 A.
Recommended Operating Conditions: The supply voltage for the preamp should be between ±5 to ±15 V, with a TE-cooler current of 0.8 A max and a load resistance of 100 kΩ min.
Precautions: The device is sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and requires careful handling to prevent damage. Proper grounding and the use of antistatic materials are recommended. Additionally, exposure to UV light should be minimized to prevent degradation of the photodiode's characteristics.
Dimensional Outline: The package dimensions are provided, highlighting the compact design with a sapphire window for the photosensitive area.
Additional Information: The document includes detailed graphs on spectral response, frequency response, and noise characteristics, as well as guidelines for external connections and thermal management.

Si photodiodes with preamp S9295 series-1

Si photodiodes with preamp S9295 series Large area photodiode integrated with op amp and TE-cooler The S9295 series is a thermoelectrically cooled Si photodiode with preamp developed for low-light-level detection. A large area photodiode, op amp, TE-cooler and feedback resistor (10 GΩ) are integrated into a single package. A thermistor is also included in the same package for temperature control so that the photodiode and I-V conversion circuit can be cooled for stable operation. The S9295 series also features low noise and low NEP, and is especially suitable for NOx detection. The photosensitive area of the photodiode is internally connected to the GND terminal making it highly resistant to EMC noise. Large photosensitive area: 10 × 10 mm UV to NIR Si photodiode optimized for precision photometry Compact hermetic package with sapphire window High precision FET input operational amplifier High gain: Rf=10 GΩ Low noise and NEP High cooling efficiency S9295 : ΔT=50 °C S9295-01: ΔT=30 °C High stability with thermistor Highly resistant to EMC noise The S9295 series may be damaged by Electro Static Discharge, etc. Please see Precautions in P.6.
