SCANBLOCK C10516

SCANBLOCK C10516

SCANBLOCK C10516

Product catalog summary
Overview: The C10516 scan block is an optical device integrating galvano scanners with a telecentric fθ lens for laser beam scanning in the visible range. It is suitable for use in laser scanning fluorescence microscopes, reflecting microscopes, and confocal microscopes. The device features a 21.5 mm diameter observation area, allowing for wide-range sample observations and high-magnification imaging when attached to a microscope.
Configuration: The system comprises a scan block and a control unit. The scan block includes two galvano scanners and a telecentric fθ lens, while the control unit houses a driver board for scanner control. A data acquisition unit (DAQ) is necessary for operation, which is sold separately.
Features: The C10516 offers a compact scan head for easy system integration, 2D scanning via galvano scanners, a wide observation area, and compatibility with a wide spectral range. It is applicable in various fields, including biological and industrial microscopy, and DNA/protein chip reading.
Specifications: The telecentric fθ lens is optimized for three wavelengths (488nm, 532nm, 632nm). The system requires specific voltage inputs for the X and Y axis scanners, and it supports a maximum measurement area of 21.5 mm. The device operates within a temperature range of 0 to +50°C and a humidity range below 85%.
Connection Examples: The scan block can be connected to various optical blocks for different measurement purposes. Examples include reflected light detection and fluorescence detection using a microscope port adapter. The system can be customized with additional optical components sold separately.
Sample Software: Hamamatsu provides sample software for image acquisition using the scan block, developed with National Instruments LabVIEW 2011. The software is compatible with National Instruments DAQ units, and the source code is available for customization.
Data Acquisition Unit (DAQ): A DAQ is required for operation, with recommended specifications including simultaneous sampling and specific input/output resolutions and rates. The DAQ should be selected based on application needs.

SCANBLOCK C10516-1

Compact scan head for easy assembly into a system OVERVIEW The C10516 scan block is an optical block that combines galvano scanners with a telecentric fθ (F-theta) lens designed for laser beam scanning in the visible range. Coupling the C10516 to other optical blocks allows forming a measurement system for laser scanning fluorescence microscopes, reflecting microscopes, and even confocal microscopes. The 21.5 mm diameter observation area allows making wide-range sample observations. High magnification images can be observed with a photomultiplier tube by attaching the scan block to the C-mount port of a commercially available microscope.
