Introduction of Fabric Breathability Tester The air permeability of textiles refers to the amount of air passing through the unit area of the sample in a unit area under a certain pressure difference, and also refers to the permeability of the gas to polymer materials such as films, coatings, and fabrics. Breathability is a valuable hygienic property of leather products such as leather clothes and shoes for wearing. The ability of fabrics to pass through air is of great significance to clothing fabrics, so the air permeability test is also an important functional test of textiles. At present, the commonly used air permeability test methods are: ASTMD737-1996 and GB/T5453-1997. For fabrics with different uses, different air permeability properties are required, and the corresponding standards are also different.
