Standard Features
  • Framework: 1200mm x 1200mm, 12mm thick galvanized steel.
  • Rotation Test Axis: Electromotive, position-controlled, with a rotation angle of +/- 360°.
  • Pneumatic Test Axis: Load controlled, with a diameter of 80mm and a stroke of 500mm.
  • Load Capacity: Up to 1900N, with two load cells of 2KN each.
  • Control Features: Includes limit control, operating pressure, cylinder limit switch control, and an emergency button.
  • Cycle Settings: Adjustable via PLC, ranging from 0 to 99,999 cycles.

EN 1335 Chair Swivel Test Procedure
The chair is secured on a rotating table, ensuring the chair's axis aligns with the table's axis. The seat is loaded with 60 KG at point A and 35 KG at another point, or equivalent forces. The rotation angle is 360° at a rate of 10 ± 5 cycles/minute for 120,000 cycles, changing direction after each rotation.

EN 1335 Positioning of Chair Components
Details the positioning for swivel tests, including seat height, backrest position, and other components.

BIFMA X5.1 Swivel Test Procedure
  • The chair is restrained on a platform, with the seat or platform fixed from rotation.
  • Adjustable features are set to normal use conditions.
  • A 113 Kg load is placed on the seat, with specific positioning relative to the rotational axis.
  • The cycling device rotates the chair for 60,000 cycles at 5 to 15 rotations per minute, continuing for a total of 120,000 cycles.
