AUTOMATIC HYDRAULIC DIAPHRAM
The Automatic Hydraulic Diaphragm Bursting Tester is designed to evaluate the bursting strength of fabrics that do not have a specific direction, using a multidirectional force generated by hydrostatic pressure. It is suitable for testing knitted fabrics, leather, paper, and cardboard.
Usage
This equipment is used to determine the bursting strength and distension at burst for various materials including woven and knitted fabrics, technical textiles, non-wovens, bonded fabrics, plastics, leather, and cardboard.
Testing Standards
The tester complies with several standards including ASTM D 3786, BS 4768, ISO 13938-1, ISO 2758, ISO 2759, ISO 3303, and others, ensuring reliable and standardized testing results.
Test Procedure
The procedure involves clamping the fabric sample over a rubber diaphragm and applying pressure until the sample bursts. The pressure at burst is recorded, and the actual bursting strength is calculated by subtracting the pressure required to burst the diaphragm alone from the total pressure.
