Measuring Amplifier MV125

Measuring Amplifier MV125

Measuring Amplifier MV125

Product catalog summary
Overview: The MV125 measuring amplifiers are designed for amplifying analog signals from sensors in harsh environments, allowing for long-distance transmission. They require a 24 V DC power supply and offer a cost-effective alternative to more complex amplifiers.
Design and Features: The MV125 features a compact design with all components on a 95 x 46 mm PCB. It includes two zero adjust potentiometers for offset elimination and two potentiometers for gain adjustment. The amplifier provides two voltage outputs with different filters and an optional current output. The auxiliary power connection is reverse polarity protected.
Special Features:
  • Direct signal amplification near the sensor.
  • Integrated excitation voltage.
  • Galvanically isolated power supply and signal outputs.
  • Available in a completely potted version for rotating components.
Scope of Supply: The amplifier comes in a cast aluminum enclosure with standard and variant options for voltage and current outputs.
Variants and Options:
  • Standard (Option U): 2 voltage outputs (direct/filtered).
  • Variant C: 1 current output (4-20 mA), 2 voltage outputs.
  • Variant N: 1 current output (0-20 mA), 2 voltage outputs.
  • Option E: Enlarged excitation supply (160 mA).
Technical Data:
  • Strain gauge excitation supply: 10 V, max current 60 mA (Option E: 160 mA).
  • Zero adjust compensation voltage: -25 to +25 mV.
  • Amplification adjustment range: 400 to 3200 V/V (factory set at 667 V/V).
  • Signal output voltage: -10 to +10 V, min load resistance 5 kΩ.
  • Signal rising time: V2 direct 5 ms, V3 filtered 2 s.
  • Current output options: 4-20 mA (Option C), 0-20 mA (Option N), max load resistance 600 Ω.
  • Auxiliary power: 24 V DC, ±10%, current consumption approx. 90 mA.
  • Enclosure protection: IP65 for GM and GK versions.
  • Temperature range: 0 to 60°C.
  • Terminal cross-section: AWG 26-16.

Measuring Amplifier MV125-1

Scope of Supply Amplifier in cast aluminum enclosure Standard (Option U): 2 voltage outputs (direct / filtered) Variants C: 1 current output 4...20 mA, 2 voltage outputs (direct / filtered) N: 1 current output 0.20 mA, 2 voltage outputs (direct / filtered) Additional Options E: Enlarged excitation supply 160 mA Ordering example MV125GK-C Type Variants / Options Special Features • Direct signal amplification close to the sensor due to field housing • Integrated excitation voltage • 4 V DC power supply • Power supply and signal outputs galvanically isolated • Completely potted version for rotating machine component are also available The measuring amplifiers MV125 are preferably used in cases when the analog measuring signals of the sensors must be amplified close to their location on machines and equipment in rough environments. The standardised output signals of the amplifier can then be transmitted over long distances or via commutators. A 24 V DC power supply only is needed to operate the amplifier. Due to its compact structural shape and its competitive price, the MV125 is an interesting alternative to more complex amplifiers. All components of the multi-stage amplifier MV125, as well as the voltage regulator for the strain gauge excitation voltage are on a PCB measuring 95 x46 mm. Two zero adjust potentiometer are available for eliminating offsets (e.g. the roll weight of web tension sensors). The desired gain can be adjusted with two potentiometer (coarse and fine). Two voltage outputs with different types of filters are vailable. The current output can be connected to either one of these outputs (option C and N). The connection of the auxiliary power supply is reverse polarity protected.
