Busbox-C Fieldbus Amplifier CANopen

Busbox-C Fieldbus Amplifier CANopen

Product catalog summary
Product Description: The CANopen Amplifier Busbox-C is an amplifier with a CANopen interface designed for use with one or two strain gauge sensors. It features user-friendly commissioning via an EDS file.
Scope of Supply: The package includes an electronic unit housed in an aluminum enclosure, a disk with an EDS file, two sensor plugs (X3A, X3B), and one protection cover (X3C).
Available for Delivery: Additional components available include a cable socket for external power supply (X1), a Bus-T-connector, terminal resistance, and a bus plug (Micro Connector X2).
Application: The Busbox-C is primarily used for web tension measurement by connecting strain gauge sensors to the CANopen Bus. It can connect sensors individually or in pairs to transmit measurement values, either as individual readings or average values.
Technical Data: The device operates with a power supply of 20.5 to 30 V, max 150 mA, and provides a sensor supply of 4.5 V/18 mA. It supports a signal range of ±10.8 mV and has a standard protection rating of IP 67. The nominal temperature range is +10 to +60 °C, with an operational range of 0 to +60 °C. The CANopen protocol specification is CAN 2.0B passive, with transmission rates of 20, 250, 500, and 1000 kbit/s. It supports a data width of 2 bytes and a resolution of 12 bits at a range of ±160% of nominal sensor force, with a converting time of 2ms. The system can accommodate up to 64 bus participants, with a factory-adjusted CANopen ID of 64.
LED Configuration: The device features a green LED for power, a red LED for error, a green LED for operational status, and a green LED for pre-operational status.
Connection Details: The CANopen X2 connection includes pins for +24 V (V5+), GND (V5-), CAN_H, and CAN_L. The X1 connection includes pins for +24 V (V5+), GND (V5-), and PE.
Ordering Example: The product can be ordered as Busbox-C with specified CANopen type and bus parameters.

Busbox-C Fieldbus Amplifier CANopen-1

Scope of Supply - Electronic unit designed into an aluminium enclosure - Disk with EDS-file - 2 Sensor plugs (X3A, X3B) - 1 Protection cover (X3C) Available for Delivery - Cable socket for external power supply (X1) - Bus-T-connector - Terminal resistance - Bus plug (Micro Connector X2) Product Description CANopen Amplifier Busbox-C Special Features □ Amplifier with CANopen interface □ Designed for one or two strain gauge sensors □ User friendly commissioning via EDS file Application The Busbox-C is used whenever strain gauge sensors are to be connected to the CANopen Bus. The primary use is for web tension measurement. It is possible to connect either each sensor separately to one Busbox and transmit the measurement value of each sensor onto the Bus or connect two sensors to one Busbox. The first alternative can be used to determine the web tension difference, the second results in the average values being transmitted to the Bus. The electronic device consist of an analog and a digital part. The system can power one or two sensors and process the measuring signals. The measurement values are converted into digital signals. In the interface module they are converted to the appropiate data format for transmission to the Bus.
