It is a highly portable and easy-to-use fault location system. The 5250 utilizes innovative Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) techniques. It is the highest energy, battery-operated, portable capacitive discharge unit on the market. These systems will reduce your fault location time by up to 80%, allowing quick and easy sectionalizing of faulted loop feed cable installations. The entire system can be operated from the Windows-based controls of the TDR, or manually from the 5250 front panel. Connection to cables under test is quick and easy with clamp connectors on high voltage output cable. Once the 5250 is connected to the cable under test, a trained operator will be able to find faults in a matter of minutes. The digital TDR's built-in storage of waveforms and a serial connection port, allow operators to download waveforms to a computer for evaluation or long-term storage.
