Overview: The SDTM Series multi-stage magnetic drive
pumps are designed for applications requiring low flows at high heads with low NPSHa. These pumps are particularly suitable for handling liquefied gases in environments where vapor release is undesirable, such as refrigeration and chemical plants.
Specifications: The pumps are available in two models: SDTM 39 2s and SDTM 39 3s. The 2-stage model offers flow rates from 0.5 to 10 m³/h and heads up to 140 meters (50Hz) or 600 feet (60Hz). The 3-stage model provides similar flow rates with heads up to 230 meters (50Hz) or 900 feet (60Hz). Both models feature a centrifugal first stage impeller and regenerative turbine impellers for subsequent stages.
Design and Materials: The pumps are constructed from machined billets of forged bars, ensuring robustness and durability. Key materials include stainless steel, carbon steel, and specialized alloys for components like impellers and bearings. The seal-less design enhances safety and reliability.
Applications: These pumps are ideal for use in oil and gas refineries, chemical plants, and OEM systems, especially where handling of refrigerants and CFC derivatives is required.
Features: The SDTM pumps feature multi-stage centrifugal/turbine configurations, flanged connections (PN 40 / ANSI 300), and are engineered to prevent backflow while maintaining low NPSHr values. The design minimizes radial and axial thrust loads, reducing vibration and shaft deflection.
Operational Characteristics: The pumps are designed for extended MTBPM, with operational reliability in extreme temperatures ranging from -100°C to 300°C. The axially floating impellers allow for thermal expansion and contraction, ensuring consistent performance.
Additional Information: The pumps can be configured to API-685 standards if required. They are equipped with threaded and flanged ports for instrumentation and are available with 2 to 4 poles, operating at frequencies of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
