Air filter to protect against dirt and moisture Why use air filters? Fluid containers in hydraulic and lubrication systems are at risk of contamination by undesirable air pollutants. These undesirable air pollutants cause and accelerate the oil’s oxidation. Altered oil properties, such as a reduced load-bearing capacity and lower temperature resistance, are the result.
