Issues: When oil-filled or dry-coated electrical transformers are in operation, they emit a characteristic noise from the vibration of the magnetic laminations they contain (magnetostriction behaviour of the laminations). This vibration is caused by the 50 Hz alternating current flowing through them, with a fundamental vibration frequency of 100 Hz and several corresponding vibration harmonics. Depending on the electrical load used, the design and the age of the transformer, these vibrations can increase over time. Moreover, depending on the installation site (car park, building basement,...

Design of the product: All SanerVib® silentblocks are designed to isolate the vibrations generated by the magnetoconstriction of transformers, and specificaly the fundamental excitation frequency of 50 Hz as well as the harmonics of 100 Hz and 200 Hz. To meet these requirements, SanerVib® have been tested in the SilentFlex® laboratories in order to visualise the variation of the resonance frequency as a function of the load supported. For their application in the field of electrical transformers, this data is essential for recommending the right equipment. E-Evolution of the resonance...

Choosing the right SanerVib®: weight and use The SanerVib® must be chosen precisely so that the internal damping elements are neither too much nor too little compressed, thus fully fulfilling their function. For the SanerVib80™ only 2 references are sufficient to cover most of the distribution transformer ranges; these 2 references exist for 40 or 70 mm rollers; on the other hand, to absorb up to 99% of the vibrations, the SanerVib99™ range is more extensive and each reference adapts to 1 type of transformer according to its total weight. Moreover, SanerVib® solutions exist in different...
