Why using a storage retention tank? What standards say: In order to avoid contamination risk, industrial equipment containing hydrocarbons for their cooling must be paired with a secondary retention tank. At least equal to the oil volume it contains. We speak of total containment, in Europe the standard for transformer is the EN 61936-1 (§ 8.6.2.). In the UK the volume must be minimum 110%.
