Pump Selection and Specifications
When selecting a pump, consider factors such as maximum flow (GPM), pressure requirements, piping installation details, type of liquid, mounting requirements, and electrical specifications. Graymills offers various pump types including centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and high-pressure multi-stage pumps, each suited for different applications and fluid viscosities.
Pump Types
  • Centrifugal Pumps: Suitable for low-pressure applications, capable of handling abrasives and solids with minimal maintenance.
  • Gear Pumps: Ideal for high-pressure applications with fluids free of abrasives.
  • Diaphragm Pumps: Air-powered, suitable for a wide range of fluids.
  • High Pressure, Multi-Stage Pumps: Designed for high-pressure delivery requirements.
Total Developed Head (TDH)
TDH is the total resistance against which the pump operates, including dynamic, static, and velocity head. Proper piping and minimizing restrictive components can optimize pump performance.
Motor Selection
Pumps are available with various motor types, including air motors. Electrical characteristics such as voltage, hertz, and phase should be specified when ordering.
