Product catalog summary
Features and Benefits
The document introduces Ecosorb® Process-Scale Adsorbent Cartridges designed for pharmaceutical purification. Key features include a proven cartridge design for reliable adsorption processing, fixed porous media to eliminate handling and safety issues, and a large adsorbent capacity that enhances product recovery and reduces solvent needs. The extended flow path improves contact time and adsorption performance.

Product Description
E-PAK products are radial flow adsorption cartridges tailored for pharmaceutical processing. They offer rapid adsorption kinetics suitable for various operational scales, from laboratory to commercial. These cartridges are compatible with organic and aqueous solvents and are designed for explosion-proof environments. They come in various sizes and formulas to meet diverse processing needs.

Applications
E-PAK cartridges are used for removing and recovering precious metal catalysts, reaction by-products, and color from synthetic and natural products. They offer high adsorption capacity, increased product recovery, and safe handling compared to loose media and other filtration methods.

Lab and Pilot Evaluation
Graver provides loose media and lab-scale cartridges for evaluating small samples. Lab tests show good correlation between lab, pilot, and commercial cartridges. Pilot scale cartridges handle volumes from 10 to hundreds of liters, facilitating scale-up and production of APIs.

Commercial Scale Processing
E-PAK cartridges can be operated in parallel for increased capacity, suitable for batch sizes over 10,000 liters. They can be adapted for continuous operation and are effective for precious metal catalyst recovery.

Flow, Hydraulic Pressure Drop & Contact Time
The cartridges provide rapid kinetics at suitable flow rates and contact times for single-pass operations. The document includes a chart showing typical performance metrics.

Adapter Kits and Chemical Compatibility
Graver offers conversion kits for existing filter housings, increasing adsorption capacity. E-PAK cartridges are chemically stable in common organic solvents and suitable for a wide pH range.

Quality and Regulatory
Manufactured in ISO 9001:2000, GMP facilities, E-PAK cartridges are undergoing Drug Master File registration.

Handling and Safety
Initial solvent wetting produces heat, and risk assessments are recommended for low vapor pressure solvents. The adsorbent matrix is electrically conductive, necessitating risk assessments for explosion-proof environments.

Cartridge Housing Selection
Graver offers semi-custom fabricated cartridge housings for various configurations. Additional information is available upon request.

Company Overview

Ecosorb® Process-Scale Adsorbent Cartridges Until recently the use of activated carbon was largely processing. Graver Technologies, producer of Ecosorb® avoided in API manufacturing due to handling and safety Products, recognized the need for a better way to use issues. Filtration and chromatography products converted activated carbon at the bench, in pilot, kilo labs and to incorporate activated carbon have provided handling commercial operations. The result is a new family of and safety improvements for pilot scale use but done little cartridge adsorbent products we believe will improve to...
