Polyshield® Baseplate/Foundation System

Polyshield® Baseplate/Foundation System

Product catalog summary
Overview of Polyshield® Baseplate/Foundation System
The Polyshield® Baseplate/Foundation System offers a cost-effective and efficient solution for mounting equipment, particularly in environments requiring high vibration dampening and chemical resistance. It is designed to reduce installation time and costs compared to traditional metal baseplates.

Key Advantages
  • One-piece high-strength construction resists twisting and provides a flat mounting surface.
  • High vibration dampening characteristics extend equipment life.
  • Corrosion-resistant materials reduce maintenance needs.
  • Significantly reduces installation and alignment time.

Cost Comparison
The Polyshield® system is more cost-effective than traditional cast iron or fabricated steel bases. The total installed cost for Polyshield® is $5,098 compared to $5,103 for cast iron and $7,492 for PIP style bases.

Installation Process
  • Polyshield® installation is quicker, taking only 1.5 to 2 days compared to 6.5 to 13 days for traditional concrete foundations.
  • Fewer skilled crafts are needed due to its pre-cast nature.
  • Polyshield® eliminates the need for concrete forms and long cure times.

Chemical Resistance
Polyshield® offers superior resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including inorganic acids, organic acids, alkalines, and solvents, up to 250°F (115°C). This eliminates the need for expensive acid brick foundations.

Additional Features
  • Available in various heights and materials, including Blue Novolac Epoxy and Vinylester.
  • Includes a self-venting design with a grout hole and plug.
  • Standard 316SS inserts provide flatness, with optional materials available.

Conclusion
Polyshield® Baseplate/Foundation System is a reliable and cost-effective solution for reducing overall equipment costs and installation time while providing excellent chemical resistance and vibration dampening.
