Overview of Magnetic Filters
Goudsmit magnetic filters are designed to remove ferrous particles as small as 30 microns from fluids and powders under pressure. They utilize Neoflux® magnetic bars, which can be cleaned by removing them from the product flow. These filters are effective even for stainless steel scrapings, which are typically undetectable by metal detectors.
Magnetic Bars
Magnetic bars are the core components of these filters, made from stainless steel 316 and available in dimensions of Ø 23. They can withstand temperatures up to 80°C, or 180°C for special models. The bars use GSN 38 and GSN 50 magnets with Br values of 12,400 and 14,000 Gauss, respectively.
Industrial Magnetic Filters
These filters are available in passage widths from DN 50 to DN 400 and are manually cleaned. They are constructed from stainless steel 316 and can handle working pressures up to 10 bars. They are used in pneumatic conveying systems for materials like flour and sugar.
Double-Walled Industrial Magnetic Filters
Designed for sticky products like chocolate, these filters have a double wall for hot water flow to keep products liquid. They can handle pressures up to 5 bar, or 3 bar with hot water.
Sanitary Magnetic Filters
These filters are suitable for the food industry, with passage widths from DN 25 to DN 125. They feature a stainless steel protective hood and can handle pressures up to 3 bar. A double filter system is recommended for enhanced security.
Pharma Magnetic Filters
These filters are used in processes with strict sanitary requirements. They are self-cleaning, using a PLC-controlled pneumatic system, and can handle pressures up to 3 bar.
Metal Detection
For products with non-magnetic components, a metal detector is recommended. It detects metal particles and disposes of contaminated product portions without interrupting the process.
