Steel Wire Reinforced Polyethylene Pipe Manufacturing Process & Application For many years, the pipe researching engineers want to reinforce the plastic pipe with metal, and then the plastic’s anti-corrosive and flexible properties could be combined with the metal’s high stiffness properties together. An outstanding plastic welded-steel-mesh composite pipe system then has been developed by Russian technicians in 1990’s and it has been widely used in pressure pipe application and oil field. However, the pipe still has some shortage in steel-plastic bonding interface and the connection of the pipe. Therefore, after this technology has been introduced to China, Goldstone Orient New Material Equipment Co., Ltd., one of the leading companies in China for composite pipe, has improved and developed a new generation innovative Steel Wire Reinforced Polyethylene Composite Pipe (hereinafter called SRP Pipe) use their owned technology. The polyethylene pipe has been reinforced by wrapping the high strength steel wire in the middle layer. It results the pipe working pressure could easily reach 5Mpa (D≤φ110), 3Mpa (D≤φ200), 2Mpa (D≤φ500) when you use PE80 grade polymer. Goldstone Orient owns full intellectual property rights and patent for pipes as well the pipe making machinery. The new technology makes the PE pipe stronger, durable and reduces the material cost definitely.

This thermal resin is easily merged with polyethylene; further more, the polar-link-key of the resin provides an excellent bond property with steel atoms (200N/25mmASTMD903).
