Product catalog summary
Introduction
In the oil and gas industry, reducing costs is a priority. The choice of materials for pipelines impacts various factors such as operation cost, lead time, compliance, installation convenience, maintenance cost, and total cost of ownership. Recently, innovative flexible composite pipe systems have been developed to replace traditional steel pipelines.
Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP)
RTP is a multi-layer composite pipe consisting of a thermoplastic liner, a reinforcing layer, and a thermoplastic jacket. It is recognized for its potential in various applications, including offshore, onshore, and hydrogen gas transportation.
Advantages of RTP over Steel Pipes
  • RTP offers the same strength as steel pipes due to its composite structure.
  • Different polymers and reinforced materials enhance RTP's properties for various applications.
  • Non-metallic reinforcement provides excellent corrosion resistance, increasing durability and reducing total ownership costs.
  • RTP has a lower friction coefficient, improving flow performance.
  • RTP is flexible, spoolable, and easy to connect, reducing installation time and costs.
  • It is lighter and easier to transport.
  • Fewer joints in RTP pipelines result in lower maintenance costs.
Goldstone's Solutions
Goldstone offers various technology solutions for RTP and TCP, providing flexible products to meet critical requirements. Different reinforcements, such as aramid fiber, glass fiber, carbon fiber, steel cord, and steel wire, are considered.
Fiberglass Tape
Fiberglass tape is high-strength, anti-corrosive, flexible, and more economical than aramid and carbon fibers. It is treated to bond glass layers, enhancing performance as defined by DNVGL-RP-F119 for Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP).
Steel Reinforced SRTP Pipe
Compliant with API 15S, SRTP uses high-strength steel cord tape for reinforcement, offering high pressure resistance and flexibility. It is cost-effective compared to non-metal fibers and performs better at higher temperatures than glass fiber. Goldstone's design enhances corrosion resistance, making SRTP valuable for onshore transportation and larger diameter RTP pipelines.
Carbon Steel Tape
Carbon steel tape can reinforce RTP flexible pipes, following API 17 and API 15S provisions. Suitable for offshore projects or mining pipelines, Goldstone provides comprehensive corrosion resistance solutions for steel-reinforced RTP pipes.

SRTP 315 ST-1

In today's oil and gas industry, everyone is looking for ways to reduce costs. The selection of materials for oil and gas pipelines to transport the hydrocarbon will affect the operation cost, lead time, compliance, installation convenience, maintenance cost, total cost of ownership, etc. Therefore, in the past decade, a kind of innovative flexible composite pipe systems has been developed and applied to replace the traditional steel pipeline. RTP (Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe) is a multi-layers composite pipe, which has a thermoplastic liner, a reinforcing layer and a thermoplastic jacket. The potential offered by this type of product for a wide range of applications in the oil and gas industries has been recognized in recent years, such like offshore, onshore and hydrogen gas transportation.

SRTP 315 ST-2

Steel could accommodate the pressure and temperature requirements, but was expensive, inflexible, and had a higher friction coefficient at smaller diameters that would impede flow performance. When compared with steel pipe and other types of rigid pipe, RTP composite pipe shows the unique advantages as following:  Composition structure pipe offers RTP the same strength as steel pipe.  The use of different polymers and reinforced materials can provide RTP enhanced properties to meet the challenges of potential applications.  The choice of non-metallic reinforcement can give RTP perfect corrosion...

GOLDSTONE provides our clients with different technology solution for RTP and TCP, and gives them more flexible products to meet the critical requirements in various application scenarios. Different reinforcement gives RTP different properties, including aramid fiber, glass fiber, carbon fiber and steel cord, steel wire are consideration. Fiberglass tape has the characters of high strength, anti-corrosion and flexible, and the most important thing is that it is an economic material than aramid fiber and carbon fiber. The tape is treated by impregnation process of thermoplastic, so glass layers...
