The slitter rewinders of the MEC series work with an overlapping twin-shaft axial rewinding concept. GOEBEL IMS offers a full machine range, starting with the entry-level model MEC 2 that features a shafted unwinding unit integrated into the main frame with full width hinged nip rollers (no turret). Additional features are added gradually with each model, up to the advanced MEC 7. As a difference to traditional twin-shaft center-winding models, MEC4 and MEC 7 provide nip rollers mounted on linear guides with independent drives.
