General Characteristics

The MTV P is a magnetic sensor designed for linear and angular readings with resolutions up to 0.1 µm.

The standard cable is an 8-wire shielded cable with a PVC sheath, oil-resistant, and a bending radius not lower than 60 mm. Standard length is 2 m, extendable up to 10 m for the sensor cable and 100 m with extensions.

Signals and Output

The sensor outputs sine wave signals (A, B, and I0) with a typical amplitude of 1 Vpp and a phase displacement of 90° ± 10° electrical.
Signal amplitude is measured differentially with 120 Ω impedance and a minimum power supply of 5 V.

Performance Specifications

Accuracy is ± 6 μm, with a maximum traversing speed of 12 m/s and a frequency of 12 kHz.
It has a vibration resistance of 300 m/s² and shock resistance of 1,000 m/s², with an IP67 protection class.
Operating temperature ranges from 0°C to 50°C, and storage temperature from -20°C to 80°C, with 100% relative humidity.
