All the capabilities below are available in the SkyEdge IV 4.1 Modem Location Obfuscation Enhanced MF-TDMA Return Access • Complements the existing ElastiX-SCPC access method. • TDMA provides fine time-slot granularity for low data-rate and transactional traffic, while Elastix SCPC is optimized for high-data-rate terminals. • Both access methods operate over the same shared capacity, are available for all modem types, and terminals may seamlessly transition between allocation methods. Enhanced Transmission Security: TRANSEC Support • Rel 4.0 Introduces TRANSEC for Aquarius PRO modems, targeting sensitive users (e.g., government, defense). • Encrypts all traffic between the SkyEdge IV HUB and remote modems, including user data and M&C traffic. • Encryption applied on both forward (IPM ^ modem) and return (modem ^ MCR) paths. • Includes advanced mechanisms to obfuscate network operations and mitigate threats. • Masks the CPE's true location by reporting a false, dynamically changing location. • Reported location is randomly generated within a configurable radius around the actual location. • Supported in OSS-managed NMS mode.
