Washing towers USE • Odor reduction in the waste, composting and other sectors • Abatement of ammonia and other substances that are easily soluble in water • Abatement of acids and bases (hydrochloric acid, hydrogen sulphide, peracetic acid, sulfur and sulfuric anhydrides, hydrogen peroxide) • Galvanic industry FEATURES • Polypropylene construction • Construction with static beds or floating beds • Special horizontal bed construction • Special sizing based on the type and concentration of pollutant to be treated • Applications with use of water only or with chemical reagent dosing systems • Low initial and running costs • Made in Italy OPERATION • The air enters the tower from below and then goes up and through the central part. 7 • In this area there is contact with water which can be added with chemicals to obtain the abatement reaction. • The water is sprayed from above through nozzles which are fed by a pump that draws water from the bottom of the scrubber (tank). • The contact between the liquid phase and the gaseous one occurs on a surface which is constituted by the filling body of the tower, supported by special grids. • The filling is made up of special materials with geometry designed to offer large contact surfaces. 1.
