informs The new stroke limiter for GESTRA non-return valves Efficient pumps and the wish to keep pressure losses to a minimum in the system mean that non-return valves are often designed excessively large. As a result, full opening cannot be achieved and the valve suffers increased wear which, in the worst case, is accompanied by unpleasant rattling noises. Until now, the volumetric flowrate of these non-return valves could only be adjusted to a limited extent, by changing the nominal size or the installation position. To ensure that users can achieve stable operation without reducing nominal size or subsequent pipe modifications, we now offer a retrofit set consisting of a spring cap and stroke limiter. This reduces the flowrate required for full opening by approx. 40%, depending on nominal size. This stroke reduction is available for non-return valves RK 41, RK 44, RK 86 and RK 86A in nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 100. Volumetric flowrate GESTRA stroke limiter: Quiet and stable operation, even with low flowrates.
