Spot Test kit for Used Engine Oils Carbon Matters Contents Residual Detergent Capacity Residual Dispersant Capacity The GESERCO Spot Test kit allows for determining easily and quickly 3 important characteristics of engine oils in service: • • • the residual detergent capacity the residual dispersion capacity the carbon matters contents The test is simple and quick and can be used in the field by any personnel, even non-specialized operator. Test Principle The test uses a comparative method: a drop of oil to be tested is placed on a special filter paper. Within a few minutes, the oil drop spreads and forms a spot which is representative of its carbon matters content, dispersion capacity and detergent capacity. The spot is then compared to a reference chart for interpreting.
